On 1st July 2018 Shri K K Sharma, Director General, Border Security Force, laid the foundation stone for Administrative Block of headquarter Special DG (Western Command) BSF. The ceremony was attended by all the IsG of the five Frontiers responsible for guarding India-Pakistan border, heads of the five premier training institutions of the BSF and other officers of the Western Command
Sh K N Choubey, ADG Western Command congratulated and conveyed greetings to the proud parents for motivating their wards for opting Border Security Force as career as service to nation. These newly passed constables would shoulder the immense responsibility of fighting infiltration, insurgents, terrorist and other ANE’s apart from managing the border. These young recruits were immaculate in their turnout and the excellent drill movements indicated a high level of motivation, pride and cohesion achieved by them during their training at STC.
4th All India Gautam memorial Handball tournament organised at Kount Bhiwani, Haryana. Out of top most 10 teams participated including Indian Army, Indian Air force, BSF, CRPF, SSB, SAI, HARYANA, DELHI, NHA etc. In Final match played between BSF versus Indian Air force, BSF remained runners up in Tournament. In other matches played between Delhi and BSF, BSF won by 27-20. BSF beat CRPF by 28-23.
This event of Cycle Expedition is not the only event which BSF undertakes for Divyang empowerment. In this context, present Director General of Border Security Force, Shri. K K Sharma, IPS has been the source of encouragement and instrumental in converting these endeavours into a Policy. Thus, Divyang Skill Development Centre (DSDC) came into existence on 1 Dec, 2016 at BSF Campus Chawla, New Delhi. This initiative was also in sync with Honourable Prime Minister of India National Wide campaign Accessible India campaign (Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan) for achieving universal accessibility to persons with disabilities.

On this occasions, rachis were tied to the Jawans with the commitment that they will guards them and will put even their supreme sacrifice to safeguards them.
A group of 40 school children consisting of 20 girls and 20 boys hailing from remote and far flung areas of Jammu region Rajnath Singh at New Delhi. The students are on a Bharat Darshan Tour from 19th to 29th January 2018 organized by the BSF. 2. The concept of Bharat Darshan Tours for the children from Jammu & Kashmir was started as an annual feature in the year 2000. The entire expenditure on the tours is met by BSF. This includes Dresses, Travel Expenses, Boarding and Lodging etc. These children are selected for Bharat Darshan as a part of intensive civic action programme of the force in remote and backward areas of the border.
