Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony HQ(WC) CHD

On 1st July 2018 Shri K K Sharma, Director General, Border Security Force, laid the foundation stone for Administrative Block of headquarter Special DG (Western Command) BSF. The ceremony was attended by all the IsG of the five Frontiers responsible for guarding India-Pakistan border, heads of the five premier training institutions of the BSF and other officers of the Western Command

Sh K N Choubey, ADG Western Command congratulated and conveyed greetings to the proud parents for motivating their wards for opting Border Security Force as career as service to nation. These newly passed constables would shoulder the immense responsibility of fighting infiltration, insurgents, terrorist and other ANE's apart from managing the border. These young recruits were immaculate in their turnout and the excellent drill movements indicated a high level of motivation, pride and cohesion achieved by them during their training at STC.

Ankur Play School BSF Children performed Yoga at STC Kashmir

The Children of Ankur Play School, Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) BSF Kashmir were rehearsed to various Yoga activities at (Humama) Srinagar on the occasion of International Yoga Day. Teachers taught them about making yoga a daily routine for a keeping healthy body and sound mind. The Ankur Play School at STC Srinagar is being run from 2007 and paving a better foundation for BSF wards preschool Children. These schools are being run at all most every family location all over BSF Campuses and wards of BSF personnel start early learning through various activities and play, gratifying the establishment of Ankur Play School at BSF Campuses located at Far flung Areas.

This event of Cycle Expedition is not the only event which BSF undertakes for Divyang empowerment. In this context, present Director General of Border Security Force, Shri. K K Sharma, IPS has been the source of encouragement and instrumental in converting these endeavours into a Policy. Thus, Divyang Skill Development Centre (DSDC) came into existence on 1 Dec, 2016 at BSF Campus Chawla, New Delhi. This initiative was also in sync with Honourable Prime Minister of India National Wide campaign Accessible India campaign (Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan) for achieving universal accessibility to persons with disabilities.

On 21st June 2019, on the occassion of the fifth International Yoga Day, Various Yoga activities have been organised with great enthusiasm in Western Command stretching over far flung BOPs/FDLs and Field Formation in state of J & K, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat. Sh Surendra Panwar, IPS ADG Western Command along with the officers and personnel of Headquater BSF Western Command performed Yoga at Lakhnaur Campus. The trainees and instructional staff of all the five Subsidiary Training Centres of Western Command performed various asanas and Yoga related activities on the occasion.

A group of 40 school children consisting of 20 girls and 20 boys hailing from remote and far flung areas of Jammu region Rajnath Singh at New Delhi. The students are on a Bharat Darshan Tour from 19th to 29th January 2018 organized by the BSF. 2. The concept of Bharat Darshan Tours for the children from Jammu & Kashmir was started as an annual feature in the year 2000. The entire expenditure on the tours is met by BSF. This includes Dresses, Travel Expenses, Boarding and Lodging etc. These children are selected for Bharat Darshan as a part of intensive civic action programme of the force in remote and backward areas of the border.

Children Day Celebrations Held At Lakhnaur Campus Mohali

Children's day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and gaiety on 14th November 2018 at Lakhnaur Campus Mohali by HQ SDG BSF (Western Command) Chandigarh. During the programme, the BSF wards participated in various events like 'Sack Race, Lemon Spoon Race, 3 Leg Race, 50 Mtrs Sprint and Tug of War under different age categories. On the occasion, Shri Kamal Nayan Choubey, IPS, Addl DG BSF Western Command shared the memories of his childhood days with the gathering present. The theme of event was to make BSF wards/families aware of the importance of sports activities in the holistic overall development of children. On completion of Sports activities, children were felicitated with attractive prizes/gifts to boost up their moral.
